OK, I followed this guide:

Here is the additional information you need:
1) Go to your phone. Menu -> Settings -> Sync -> PC Suite (or w/ever profile you intend to use) -> Edit -> Connection settings -> Server version -> set it to 1.1 (default is 1.2)
